Stephan Rösgen
Stephan studied law in Passau and Cologne University and has been admitted to the bar in Cologne since 1990. Moreover he also holds a Degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Toronto.
He began his professional career in a well-known German law firm specialized in commercial law. From there, he moved in 1991 to the waste management industry to build up the first EPR scheme ever operating on the globe. From the beginning, and later as head of the waste management department of Duales System Deutschland GmbH, he was involved in setting up the world's first sustainability system. As a member of the executive board, he organized the European office of the Federal Association of the German Waste Management Industry in Brussels where he served for two years. Being Vice President Europe, with headquarters in Switzerland, he was responsible for sustainability and regulatory affairs for a globally producing packaging manufacturer for several years.
Stephan is member of the board in several national and international associations and is well-connected to a global network of experts.
